IUCN: Congress gives ‘strong mandate’ for tough new European nature laws

A series of resolutions adopted at the end of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) congress show strong international support for EU targets to protect biodiversity, with a specific call to restore Europe’s old growth forests.
