EU eyes tough line on hazardous chemicals as industry ‘struggles’ to comply

The principle of ‘no data no market’ will be rigorously applied as the European Commission prepares an overhaul of EU chemicals regulation, director-general for environment Florika Fink-Hooijer has said, while the head of the European Chemicals Agency warned the industry is “struggling” to meet its regulatory obligations.
