Timmermans aide challenges MEPs to propose alternative to new ETS

Diederik Samsom, chief of staff to green deal chief Frans Timmermans, has defended the European Commission’s plans to expand emissions trading to buildings and road transport, challenging lawmakers to propose a different mechanism with the same focus on intra-EU solidarity.
