Calls mount to ease ‘additionality’ requirement for green hydrogen

Plans to ramp up hydrogen production will be in doubt if the European Commission insists that the gas can only be classed as green if produced using power from newly deployed, dedicated generation capacity, electricity multinational RWE has said, with support from German MEP Markus Pieper.
