Portugal targets net zero in 2045 with new climate law

Portugal, which in 2016 became the first country to commit to achieving climate neutrality by 2050, has stepped up its ambition with the approval last Friday by a near unanimous vote in parliament of a climate law which seeks to attain this goal by 2045.
