NGOs fear EU may miss its ‘one shot’ at ending EU-driven deforestation

More than 50 NGOs are urging the European Commission to seize the “unique opportunity” to live up to the EU’s “environment, climate and biodiversity commitments” and not water down planned rules to minimise the risk of deforestation and forest degradation linked to products sold on the EU market.
