COP26: Timermans defends EU support for new gas infrastructure

European Green Deal chief Frans Timmermans has hit back at claims that the Commission’s plan to support up to 30 new gas projects in the EU is incompatible with the Paris Agreement, as a ‘coalition of the willing’ signalled they would end oil and gas production.
