Commission aims to double high-speed rail traffic by 2030

The EU executive aims to remove obstacles to long-distance and cross-border rail travel and develop a core trans-European rail network with a minimum speed of 160km/h, according to an ‘action plan’ presented on Tuesday as part of a ‘green mobility’ policy package.
