EU executive prioritises gas supplies in energy security drive

The European Commission has proposed to double down on securing natural gas supplies over the coming years, coupled with measures to address spiralling costs, but according to a new report the bloc could break free from Russian gas supplies already by 2025 by deploying more renewables.
