MEPs signal broad support for Energy Charter Treaty withdrawal

With a decisive mid-June conference looming, the European Parliament plenary on Thursday saw many lawmakers coalescing around withdrawal from a post-cold war agreement that has seen fossil fuel multinationals suing EU governments over their environment policy.
