Heating and cooking ‘major sources’ of air pollution - study

Poland’s use of coal for heating and Italians’ fondness for wood-fired stoves are among the major sources of exposure to harmful air pollution in Europe, according to a new report suggesting the impact of energy use in buildings could be comparable to that of traffic.
