MEPs urged to end ETS exemptions with carbon border tax

When Europe puts in place a carbon border adjustment mechanism (CBAM), there is no longer any justification for giving polluting firms free allowances in the EU emissions trading system, a raft of green groups has told MEPs ahead of a crunch vote later this month.
