Gas power air pollution estimated to cause 2,800 premature deaths per year

Pollutants emitted from burning gas for power generation in 2019 caused 2,864 premature deaths, more than 4,100 hospital admissions and the loss of over five million productivity days in the EU and UK, a new analysis has shown.
