European Commission moots pesticide ban in public places and nature reserves

The EU executive is considering prohibiting the use of all pesticides in parks, playgrounds and “ecologically sensitive areas such as Natura 2000 sites”, and “will not hesitate” to outlaw glyphosate if justified by science, health commissioner Stella Kyriakides has said.
