Commission criticised for failing to tap full potential for energy savings

IPCC and IEA scientists have warned the European Commission it is overlooking the potential for a rapid reduction in energy demand, not least for heating buildings, as it focuses on seeking alternative sources to replace Russian oil and gas imports.
