Environment committee members strike deal on stalled climate files

The European Parliament is set to vote again on key ‘Fit for 55’ proposals next week, after the EPP, S&D and Renew agreed on a new set of compromises to reform the EU emissions trading system (ETS) and set up a carbon border tax.
