Revised Energy Charter Treaty still threat to EU climate goals, scientists warn

Climate scientists have warned EU leaders against adopting even a reformed Energy Charter Treaty (ECT) if ISDS provisions remain after protracted talks on modernisation draw to a close this week, while a fresh lawsuit alleges that the treaty breaches the European Convention for Human Rights.
