Shift to sustainable aviation fuels won’t cut air pollution, EU agency warns

Sustainable aviation fuels (SAF) could halve the sector’s CO2 footprint by mid-century, but NOx and soot emissions would still rise beyond pre-pandemic levels, according to a new report.
