MEPs oppose tapping ETS reserve to fund shift away from Russian energy

The European Parliament’s environment committee has rejected a proposal to flood the EU carbon market with emissions allowances held in a market stability reserve (MSR) to raise money for energy infrastructure needed to end dependency on Russian fossil fuels.
