Batteries Regulation delayed by wrangling over legal basis

The latest round of talks between the European Parliament and the EU Council over a regulation on sustainable batteries ended with “significant progress”, but also a clear red line from governments on its legal basis that MEPs hope could secure them a raft of concessions.
