Commission urged to prioritise waste reduction in policy overhaul

As the European Commission prepares to revise EU waste rules, campaigners have warned against encouraging recycling as the solution to a growing stream of refuse and handed ‘green deal’ chief Frans Timmermans a petition calling for policy makers to promote re-use.
