Portugal set to achieve carbon neutrality by 2045, Costa says

Portugal, the first EU country to set a net-zero target for 2050, can now achieve carbon neutrality by 2045 thanks to its accelerating energy transition and to sustained investment in public transport, prime minister António Costa told the COP27 summit on Monday.
