ReFuelEU talks collapse as Council insists nuclear has a role in sustainable aviation

Negotiations over a regulation designed to cut airline CO2 emissions hit a brick wall in the early hours of Friday morning with the European Parliament and EU Council unable to agree targets for sustainable aviation fuels (SAFs), in particular whether nuclear power could be used to make them.
