Chemicals lobby hails EU climate roadmap as step in right direction

Director general of the European Chemical Industries Council (Cefic), Marco Mensink, has said a new ‘transition pathway’ for the sector provides much-needed “clarity”, but has warned that EU-based companies face huge challenges to stay competitive in a low-carbon economy.
