LEAK: Sweden endorses making polluters pay for wastewater treatment

The EU Council is set to discuss plans to make pharmaceuticals and cosmetics firms pay for the removal of micro-pollutants from sewage through a revision of the Urban Wastewater Treatment Directive (UWWTD), while retaining an exemption for small producers.
