UN publishes first draft text as ‘starting point’ for global plastics treaty

The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) has published the first full draft text of the Global Plastics Treaty, presenting several options from top-down plastic production reduction targets for each country to plans to ban certain single-use plastic products.
