EU climate action will ‘fall apart’ without tough rules on peatlands

Without binding targets for wetland restoration, the EU will be unable to meet its climate policy goals, the green shadow rapporteur for the proposed Nature Restoration law has warned at the launch of a report highlighting the dramatic CO2 emissions linked to drainage.
