Norway makes pitch for ‘mature discussion’ about CCS at COP28

NGOs and lawmakers must accept that carbon capture and storage (CCS) is essential to meet the goals of the Paris Agreement, and that the necessary level of renewable energy deployment will inevitably mean further encroachment on natural habitats, Norwegian environment minister Espen Barth Eide said on Monday.
