Ban on flights with 4-hour rail alternatives would cut Spanish domestic aviation emissions by 10%

Banning flights between cities with alternative rail journeys of up to four hours would affect 11 routes saving 300,000 tons of CO2, equivalent to 10% of Spain’s domestic aviation emissions, without entailing delays or detracting from competition, a report published on Wednesday claims.
