Germany and Netherlands call for tougher targets on food waste

The Dutch and German agriculture ministers stood largely alone in calling on Monday for higher binding targets to cut food waste at an EU Council summit where many voiced doubts over the viability of proposed reforms to the Waste Framework Directive (WFD).
