Hoekstra hints at sizeable EU contribution to loss and damage fund

The climate commissioner has clarified that the EU is ready to make a “substantial” contribution to the loss and damage fund at COP28, while stressing jointly with the climate summit’s president designate that the conference should be inclusive despite past concerns about fossil fuel influence.
