Member state compromise on due diligence rules excludes financial sector

National representatives have indicated a readiness to accommodate Parliament’s push for mandatory climate transition plans at upcoming negotiations on the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive, in an effort to reach a deal with co-legislators that fully excludes the financial sector.
