‘Huge step forward’: Deal reached on ‘zero-tolerance position’ on environmental crimes

Many more instances of environmental misconduct, including timber trafficking and serious breaches of chemicals rules, will be classified as criminal offences under the terms of a provisional agreement on a new EU law reached on Thursday by European Parliament and Council negotiators.
