MEPs back CCS target in EU’s cleantech law and adopt position on carbon removals accounting

The European Parliament has backed a proposal to force petroleum firms to invest in carbon capture and storage and finalised its position on proposed accounting rules stipulating how polluters can use removals to reduce their carbon footprint.
