‘Important step’: End of mercury era in sight as dental amalgam phase-out date agreed

The EU Council and Parliament have agreed that mercury in dental amalgam must no longer be used by 2025, with an 18-month derogation for countries that have not yet adjusted their reimbursement system to cover alternatives.
