Gabriel calls for green German economic rescue plan

A forthcoming rescue plan for the German economy should focus on "economic modernisation, and not just maintaining the status quo", and should include green measures addressing the shortfall of environmental engineers, Germany environment minister Sigmar Gabriel said on Monday.
