Call to cap airline emissions at 2005 levels by 2050

Aviation emissions in rich countries should be capped at 2005 levels by 2050, an influential UK committee said on Wednesday. In Britain, this means emissions in other sectors would have to fall by 90% to meet the country's 80% reduction target for 2050.
