Lafarge achieves 2010 carbon reduction target

French company Lafarge, one of the world's largest cement producers, has met its 2010 goal of cutting global CO2 emissions by 20% per tonne of production relative to 1990 levels, it announced on Monday. This translates to an absolute reduction of 10%.
