German firms blast plan to cut energy tax breaks

The German industry has strongly criticised a finance ministry plan to reduce the energy tax breaks companies enjoy. The plan, leaked to journalists on Tuesday, is part of an austerity package presented in June. It could generate about €1.5bn in revenue annually.
