New French nuclear reactor faces further delay

EDF's new EPR nuclear reactor in Flamanville, Normandy, will now start operating in 2016 instead of the initial 2012 deadline and for a total cost of about €6bn, nearly twice as much as the original estimate, the energy firm said this week.
