UK: Biomass sustainability criteria in Scotland

In line with UK rules, Scotland will require solid and gaseous biomass energy plants to comply with sustainability criteria to receive subsidies. CO2 limits are established and biomass from protected sources such as wetland areas included. Wood must come from forests for which there is a sustainable management plan.
