Denmark publishes flame retardant feedback
The Danish environmental protection agency has released a series of comments from the European Flame Retardant Association on its recent report on alternatives to brominated flame retardants (BFRs). The ministry's report formed part of an initiative that culminated in an action plan to crack down on BFRs published earlier this year (EED 28/03/01). The association's comments are likely to "significantly change" the report's conclusions for only three substances, according to the ministry: resorcinol, melamin and zinc borate. See EFRA comments.
