Scottish "green farm" strategy launched
Scotland's "first-ever serious examination" of the future of farming was launched yesterday by environment and rural development minister Ross Finnie. A key element, according to Mr Finnie, will be the creation of a working group of farming and environmental interests. "For the first time," he said, "farmers and environmentalists will be involved in finding solutions, not just pointing out problems". See press release and strategy.
