Dutch investment scheme to go darker green

The Dutch government is to tighten up eligibility rules for its green investment tax incentive scheme, claiming that many supported activities no longer deserve special treatment. Energy efficient commercial greenhouses and cattle sheds are among the technologies to be thrown out under proposals drawn up by the finance and environment ministries. Meanwhile, environmental investments abroad are to receive more encouragement through a doubling in allocated funds to DF20m (euros 9.1m) per year, or one-fifth of the scheme's overall budget.
