Germany reports on soil strategy progress

The German government has agreed a first report on progress made in implementing national soil protection laws. It urges better economic incentives to cut down on land use. The report will be updated every four years to provide a statement of progress towards the aims outlined in the country's soil protection law, and the government's target of reducing the amount of land used for transport and housing infrastructure from 130 to 30 hectares a day by 2020.
