Germany to clamp down on aircraft noise
The German government is planning to further limit aircraft noise for people living and working near airports by revising a 1971 law, it was reported on Monday. According to Focus news magazine, the environment ministry will next year unveil a proposals that it estimates will cost €500m over 10 years to implement. Airline ticket prices will go up by between €1 and €2 as a result, it adds. The environment ministry was unavailable for comment. See Focus news report.
