EU hydrogen and fuel cell group launched
A new European hydrogen and fuel cell technology group began its first meeting in Brussels on Tuesday. European Commission president Romano Prodi launched the session, describing it as a milestone for efforts to develop a sustainable hydrogen economy. The group has been charged with developing what the Commission called a "broad and far-reaching hydrogen and fuel cell strategy" for the EU. See press release and Romano Prodi speech.
