Germany reviews its sustainability strategy
A first progress report on Germany's national sustainability strategy has identified energy supply and renewables, alternative fuels, and the rate of land development as priority areas for more work. The report reviews progress across all main themes of the strategy, issued in 2002 (EED 04/01/02). A coalition of environmental NGOs called for greater precision in the definition of the strategy's environmental goals. See draft progress report and NGO statement.
